My favorite one though is the canon 24/70mm IS L. A piece of glass with a versatile focal length and a wide aperture of F4 or F2.8 if you go with the fancier version.This heavy thing has served me really well actually while photographing portraits and shooting corporate documentaries.Its not a cheap piece of gear to be honest but it will probably last you a really time and if not canon has a great warranty and customer service
